Filament:
Supporting part of the stamen (male part of a flower)
The filament forms part of the stamen (the male reproductive organ of a flower). The filament supports the anther and the pollen sacs (microsporangia).
Force:
Induce unseasonal growth
To manipulate or encourage a plant to flower or fruit at a time of year that is unusual for that particular plant. Forcing a plant to flower or fruit earlier than it normally would is usually done for commercial reasons. Forcing is usually done under glass where the environment can be managed e.g. light levels, temperature. Example: Prepared Hyacinths are forced to flower early, often in time for Christmas.
