Cutting Back Aubretia

I was not aware that Aubretia had to be cut back after flowering! Will it be OK to cut back hard now in March? Help please! Toddy

Hello,

I am sure that the flowers are produced on the new shoots in spring so a hard prune now will instigate vigorous new growth, full of flower buds. The only thing that could put a spanner in the works is if we get a return of the cold weather and that is by no means out of the question.
