Tree Pruning To late

Postby cactusman » 03 Oct 2007 12:04

Although the seasons have been somewhat all over the place this year for weather, and August has been the month I would have normally trimmed back my fir trees back. Will I now have to wait until next spring so as not to cause damage or exposing the trimmed areas to posible frost damage.

I would advise to leave the pruning now. Only trim in the proper growing season (although that seems to be all the time now) between March and September. Probably trim twice, once during spring and again early-mid summer.
